LED Lighting Versus Compact Fluorescent Lighting

!±8± LED Lighting Versus Compact Fluorescent Lighting

The world seeks to reduce energy costs and have even tried to solve the problem of electricity shortages. Lack of energy is a problem faced by one or two countries, the whole world is facing this problem. To resolve the problem, countries have begun to take the load shedding. Load shedding has not really helped at all, but hit the economies or countries that have adopted this method. Researchers and manufacturers have also triedTo resolve this problem, and have produced two types of lights, LED lighting is one and the other is compact fluorescent lamps. The better of the two is the LED lighting. Below is the comparison between the two types of lighting to learn.

LED stands for light emitting diode and CFL means compact fluorescent lamps. These two were, in an attempt to solve the current problems facing the world. The people and the researchers say, and have demonstrated that LED lighting is much better than CFL. ThisBecause CFL consists of filaments that are burned and then the light is produced. Burning Wendel takes a lot of energy. On the other hand, the light is not any form of heating filaments and do not consume too much energy.

According to the Department of Energy, the U.S. CFLs use about one quarter of the energy consumed by incandescent lamps to provide light. On the form side of the LED lighting is more efficient because it uses only 3-9% ofenergy consumed by incandescent to provide light.

The US energy department even states that LED lights lasts for a longer period of time than CFLs. They even stated that CFL lasts 6 to twelve times more than incandescent lights and on the other hand LEDs last more than twenty five times longer than incandescent bulbs.

LED is more costly than CFL as the manufacturing cost of LED bulbs is more than CFL; but there are certain manufacturers who are producing poor quality of LED lights and selling them at low rates. These lights do not burn properly and become a disadvantage rather than an advantage. But LEDs and CFLs are both expensive than incandescent bulbs. One should keep in mind that one can save a lot of money by use LED lights so the cost can easily be covered in the long run.
